SONIX INTERNATIONAL
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains how Sonix International (“Sonix”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use our websites, apps, the Sonix Tech Academy, our stores and our WhatsApp channel (+91 99882 21851). We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. What we collect
- Contact details — name, mobile number, email, city, district and state.
- Business details (store owners, dealers, workshops) — business name, address, GSTIN.
- Technician details — skills, experience, languages, documents you choose to upload, training progress and certificates.
- Vehicle details you give us — make, model, year and registration number — so we can recommend the right products.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp, including photos, documents and locations you share, and the delivery status of messages we send you.
- Orders and payments — items bought, invoices and payment status. We do not store full card or bank account numbers.
- Technical data — sign-in records, IP address and device/browser type, used for security.
2. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiries and call you back when you ask us to.
- To register and approve technicians, run courses and issue certificates.
- To process orders, invoices, deliveries and warranty claims.
- To send service messages on WhatsApp (sign-in codes, order and course updates).
- To send offers and updates only if you agree. Reply STOP on WhatsApp at any time to stop them.
- To keep our systems secure and to meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
- Service providers that host and run our systems for us (cloud hosting in India, email delivery, backups), under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Sonix team members and authorised partners (e.g. your relationship manager or a nearby authorised store) who need it to serve you.
- Authorities when the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
We keep information while you are a customer, partner or learner, and for as long as needed for the purposes above. Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by Indian tax law (currently at least 6 years). After that we delete or anonymise it.
5. How we protect it
Data is stored on servers in India, encrypted in transit (HTTPS), behind access controls so staff see only what their role needs, with audit logs and regular backups.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw consent for marketing, or raise a complaint. See how to delete your data. We reply within 30 days.
7. Children
Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Contact & grievances
